The Armoury is a museum situated in Moscow. It carries an array of fine treasures from the 4th century up to this date. The Armoury is housed within the Kremlin museum. Red Square

The Red Square is where military parades and executions happen in the olden times. It is situated right at the heart of Moscow. Currently the square is boarded on its sides by the following structures: Kremlin Wall, Lenin’s Tomb, and GUM, which incidentally, is the largest shopping store of Russia.

St. Basil’s Cathedral

The famous historical figure, Ivan the Terrible, built St. Basil’s Cathedral in 1550’s. The cathedral is near the Red Square and it is composed of 9 separate chapels. Each chapel is capped individually with a distinctly colored dome.

Gorky Park

If you have brought your kids with you, you have to visit Gorky Park. The park is a recreational center complete with Ferris wheels, food stands, roller coasters, open-air theaters, rock clubs, food stands, skating ponds, and a fairground. This is a true-blue urban park similar to the Disneyland in the US.

Yusupov Palace

The Yusupov Palace is one of Russia’s stately palaces. But unlike the others with untainted magnificence, this palace is where Rasputin, the infamous mad monk was murdered. The guided tours of the palace show tourists the exact scenes and the important details of the horrific crime.

Peter and Paul Cathedral

The Peter and Paul Cathedral is one of the tallest and oldest buildings of St. Petersburg. St. Petersburg is referred to as Russia’s second capital, next to Moscow. The Peter and Paul Cathedral is popular for its spectacular view. Most of the bodies of great Russian rulers of lie here.

Traveling Around

To get around Russia, getting a rented car is advised. However, the driving condition can be difficult at times. Traffic situations could be very different from your homeland, so utmost care while on the road is required. The taxi is still the best bet for people who are not comfortable driving in a foreign land. However, you might have issues with the driver as they speak little or no English.
